How to get the most from your budget

Book a weekly rental, not daily

Daily board rentals are convenient but expensive across a full week. Most shops offer 20–30% off for 5–7 day bookings. If you’re surfing more than 3 days, the weekly rate almost always wins.

Travel in shoulder season

April–May and September–October offer ideal surf conditions with significantly lower accommodation rates than peak summer. Fewer crowds mean better waves and more instructor attention too.

Eat where locals eat

Morocco has exceptional food at very low prices if you go local. A full tagine in a village café costs €4–6. Tourist-facing restaurants in Agadir charge 3–4× more for the same quality. Ask your instructor where they eat.

Consider a surf camp for longer trips

If you’re staying 5+ days, a surf camp bundling accommodation, lessons, equipment and meals will often cost less than booking each element separately — and removes all the logistics.
